President Donald Trump reiterated that preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon remains his top priority.
Trump declared in a post that the goal “is, and always will be” to ensure Iran cannot acquire one “in any way, shape, or form.”

Trump said Monday that the United States will not extend its Memorandum of Understanding with Iran after the agreement’s 60-day deadline expired without a broader deal.
Asked about the prospects for an agreement, Trump said Iran wants to make a deal but would not accept the terms he considers necessary.
Trump said to reporters, “Well, they want to make a deal, but they’re not going to make the kind of a deal that I feel is necessary.”
President Trump confirmed the US isn’t expanding the window for peace talks with Tehran on Monday as the US-Iran memorandum of understanding’s 60-day deadline for negotiations expired.

The president has demanded a ceasefire that will end Iran’s nuclear program but Tehran wants to pursue a “nuclear energy” program.
