Donald Trump went after Paul Ryan in a recent Truth Social post.
In the post, Trump said he taught Paul Ryan how to win even though Paul Ryan didn’t do much of it.
Paul Ryan’s so lucky he had Donald Trump—I taught him how to win, even though he didn’t do too much of it. His biggest victory was getting on the Fox Board—Fox is down massively this year!
Trump also shared an article from 2016 of Paul Ryan praising Trump.
House Speaker Paul Ryan, who was so at odds with Donald Trump during Trump’s combative campaign that he refused to appear with the Republican nominee, credited the president-elect with saving GOP majorities in the House and Senate and said Wednesday he will work closely with Trump to enact his policies.
“The House majority is bigger than expected, we won more seats than anyone expected, and much of that is thanks to Donald Trump,” Ryan said at a news conference in his hometown of Janesville, Wis. “Donald Trump provided the kind of coattails that got a lot of people over the finish line so that we could maintain our strong House and Senate majorities. Now we have important work to do.”
Democrats had made a net gain of just five seats in the House by Wednesday morning, although a handful of races still had not been called.
