Steve Bannon was sentenced to 4 months and prison and $6,500 in fines by a DC judge on Friday.

The Guardian reported:

Steve Bannon has been sentenced to four months in prison for contempt of Congress.

Donald Trump’s former chief strategist will serve four months on each of the two contempt counts for defying a congressional subpoena issued by the January 6 House panel investigating the former president’s efforts to reverse his defeat by Joe Biden.

The sentences will be served concurrently, district court judge Carl Nichols ruled.

The statutory minimum was one month in prison on each count.

He has been released pending appeal.

The Post Millenial reported:

On Friday morning, former Trump advisor Steven Bannon was sentenced to four months in prison and a $6,500 fine on two counts of contempt of Congress by District Judge Carl Nichols. The sentence is to be delayed pending appeal.

Banon had not complied with the subpoenas due to executive privilege invoked by President Donald Trump regarding their communication. Trump later revoked that, clearing the way for Bannon to testify, yet the DOJ continued with their case.
