Who should be Donald Trump’s Vice President?

A new report states that Kari Lake is among those being considered for the role.

Trump’s spokesman responded to the saying, “anyone who thinks they know what President Trump is going to do is seriously misinformed and trying to curry favor with ‘potential’ V.P. candidates.”

Other names listed in the story are Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Nikki Haley.

Axios reported:

Former President Trump is strongly considering picking a female running mate — and sees Kari Lake as a model for his vice-presidential pick, according to people who discussed the topic with him.

Why it matters: Trump is already gaming out the general election in November 2024 — and knows he has a massive weakness with the white suburban women he would need to beat President Biden.

Lake, a former TV anchor who lost her race for Arizona governor in November, meets Trump’s most important qualification for a No. 2:

Trump spokesperson Steven Cheung said: “Anyone who thinks they know what President Trump is going to do is seriously misinformed and trying to curry favor with ‘potential’ V.P. candidates.”

A poll taken at CPAC found Kari Lake to be the favorite for Vice President among attendees.

The Western Journal reported:

Meanwhile, Kari Lake, the Republican gubernatorial candidate in Arizona who’s fighting in Arizona’s Supreme Court over the results of the November election, was the leading favorite for vice presidential nominee at 20 percent of the CPAC vote, according to Fox.

Tellingly, DeSantis came in second as the choice for vice president of 14 percent of those polled, but the few who’ve heard Trump’s comments about the Florida governor lately would expect that ticket in 2024.

For Lake, it’s different. She’s a vocal Trump supporter and has been since she first started running for office. Anyone even casually familiar with how events played out in Arizona on Election Day knows that something was more than a little bit hinky about the outrageous failures of the voting machines in Arizona’s largest county — failures that hurt Lake and consequently benefited her Democratic opponent, current Gov. Katie Hobbs.

Lake gave a statement to the Gateway Pundit after the story broke:

Lake: My goal is to be in the Arizona Governor’s office. I won the election and everyone in Arizona knows it. We The People deserve to have the leaders we elect hold the office we elect them to.

I am 100% dedicated to serving as Arizona Governor. I will also work to make sure President Trump gets back in the White House ASAP. Anything outside of those two goals is nothing but a distraction.

Our best days are ahead of us and it all starts with electing America-First candidates all across this country.

Should Kari Lake be Trump’s VP?

Is this a distraction from Lake’s 2022 election lawsuit?
