Barack and Michelle Obama endorsed Kamala Harris on X on Friday.

Axios reported:

Former President Obama endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic presidential nominee Friday morning.

Why it matters: All the biggest names in Democratic politics are now officially backing Harris, who is cruising to the nomination just days after President Biden dropped out and endorsed her.

Obama — who endorsed Harris in a campaign email and video — said in a statement with former First Lady Michelle Obama: “This week, we got a chance to catch up with a friend who we’ve known for more than 20 years.
“She’d had a pretty busy couple of days, to say the least. But we couldn’t be more excited for her — or more thrilled to endorse Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee for President of the United States.

Obama was reportedly “furious” Joe Biden endorsed Kamala Harris.

Trending Politics reported:

A “source close to the Biden family” told the New York Post that former President Barack Obama does not believe Kamala Harris can win and is “furious” that Biden opted to endorse her.

In the wake of President Biden’s unprecedented resignation via X post, a number of key Democrat leaders have rallied around Vice President Harris , including the president. Former President Barack Obama was a notable exception, however, as he failed to mention Harris in a statement released this past Sunday.

In reference to Vice President Harris, a source close to the Biden Family told the New York Post that Obama is “very upset because he knows she can’t win.”

“Obama knows she’s just incompetent — the border czar who never visited the border, saying that all migrants should have health insurance. She cannot navigate the landmines that are ahead of her,” the source said. “When you are running for president there are things you can and can’t say.”
