The left-wing media is in deep trouble.

MSNBC has faced major rating issues in the Post-Trump era. To make things even worse for MSNBC their top ratings getter Rachel Maddow is only planning on working one day a week.

From Variety:

Rachel Maddow returned from a weeks-long hiatus Monday night only to tell MSNBC viewers that they will be seeing significantly less of her in weeks to come.

Starting in May, Maddow will scale back her duties at MSNBC, moving from what had been a five-days-per-week role to hosting only on Mondays. She is changing her schedule after signing a new pact with NBCUniversal that gives her aegis over a broader range of projects, including podcasts and films.

”I do still have all these other irons in the fire, all these other things I’m working on that I want to bring to fruition, none of them are fast, all of them take a long time, and I’m still working on all of them,” Maddow said on her MSNBC program Monday evening. She delivered her remarks after returning from an absence that let her deal with some of those new content initiatives.

2022 has been a disaster for MSNBC.

From Fox News:

During the first quarter of 2022, MSNBC hemorrhaged an alarming portion of its audience compared to the first quarter of last year, despite Russia’s invasion of Ukraine creating a historic news cycle. MSNBC averaged 712,000 viewers, shedding 48% of its audience compared to last year.

MSNBC also lost 60% of its audience among the key news demographic of adults age 25-54, averaging only 87,000 compared to 217,000 last year.

Perhaps the most alarming evidence of struggles under Conde is MSNBC’s issue attracting viewers among the category that pays the bills since President Biden took office. MSNBC has floundered in the key demo since Biden’s inauguration, averaging only 107,000 viewers to finish behind such networks as MTV, Nickelodeon, A&E, TV Land, Hallmark, Food Network, Adult Swim and Investigation Discovery.
