Lawmakers To Probe If US Weapons Sent To Ukraine, Afghanistan Being Used By Hamas?
The Biden administration’s foreign policy has been a complete disaster.
Lawmakers are now discussing probing whether weapons sent to Ukraine and abandoned in Afghanistan are being used by Hamas terrorists.
Lawmakers in Congress emerged this week from classified briefings on the Israeli terror attack determined to launch a probe into whether U.S. weapons left behind in Afghanistan or donated to Ukraine have landed in the hands of Hamas and other Iranian-backed extremists.
“I think there has to be one,” Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., a member of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, said on the John Solomon Reports podcast in an interview aired Friday. “…If we are finding out information and getting told intel that U.S. weapons have fallen into the hands of terrorists, especially with the horrific attack that just happened on Israel, it’s our duty to investigate and find out if that’s happened or not.”
House members declined to describe with specificity what they were told by U.S. intelligence briefers on Wednesday but said they left the meeting convinced that U.S. weaponry has been allowed to fall into the hands of terrorists and other bad actors.
“We know that some of the weapons that are being used by Hamas in Israel against our most important ally came out of Afghanistan,” Rep. Harriet Hageman, R-Wyo., told the “Just the News, No Noise” television show, accusing the Biden administration of offering a ho-hum response to the concerns.
A high-ranking official in the Israel Defense Forces previously expressed concerns over this.
If freeing up $6 billion of Iranian money, making it easier for them to divert other funds to terrorist organizations, wasn’t enough, it appears the Biden administration’s disastrous foreign policy decisions may be supplementing ammunition to terrorists like Hamas as well.
According to Newsweek, a high-ranking official in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) expressed Israel’s concerns to the outlet about weapons from the U.S. and other Western nations provided to Ukraine ending up in the hands of Israel’s enemies, particularly the Javelin shoulder-fired anti-tank missile system.
Even more shameful, The Israeli commander told Newsweek that U.S. small arms seized in Afghanistan have been observed being used by Palestinian groups in the Gaza Strip.
In January, NBC reported that weapons left behind in Afghanistan during Biden’s disastrous withdrawal from the nation have been used to arm militants in Kashmir, India, in what NBC said experts call “just the start of the weapons’ global journey.”
