Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) delivered a touching tribute to Andrew Breitbart, the founder of Breitbart.com, who tragically passed away 10 years ago. 

Transcript:

“It’s hard to believe that it has been ten years since Andrew Breitbart’s passing, but it’s easy to see how his legacy has lived on. Breitbart saw the future of America heading into a new type of conservatism that put America first and fights for her future by beating the left, not by surrendering to the left. Breitbart was a visionary that saw not just the potential of the internet, but the potential for using the web to educate his fellow citizens about the dangers of the leftism and exposing the misdeeds of Leftists. He was one who believed in freedom of thought and expression and one who saw the descent of the corporate legacy media outlets into factories for concocting partisan narratives and one who knew that we needed a new platform for freedom to thrive.  Andrew left behind a legacy that lives on because of the culture he created a culture that was ingrained in his followers, his writers, and his loved ones. We’re all here today honoring Andrew Breitbart because he had the courage of his convictions and because he made a difference.
