He also pledged another $500 billion in aid to Ukraine during the trip.
President Joe Biden made an unannounced visit to Kyiv, Ukraine, on Feb. 20, in a major show of support days ahead of the first anniversary of Russia’s invasion.
Biden met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who said he and the U.S. president discussed the provision of long-range weapons for Kyiv amid Ukraine’s repeated urgent appeals for more military support.
The U.S. president pledged an additional half-billion dollars in aid and vowed that the United States would continue to stand by Ukraine in the conflict.
Joe Biden is still yet to visit Ohio after the train derailment.

Former President Donald Trump on Monday blasted Joe Biden for spending President’s Day with Ukrainians rather than the victims of a devastating train wreck in Ohio, suggesting it sent a powerful message of neglect to voters in a key election battleground state.

“Those are great people, and they were abandoned,” Trump said in a wide-ranging interview set to air on the “Just the News, No Noise” television show on Real Americas’s Voice on Monday evening.

“I think it’s very sad,” the 45th president told Just the News. “And I’ll be going, as you know, I’ll be spending some time in Ohio, where [Biden] should be. And frankly, FEMA should have been there a long time ago, I announced that I was going, and all of a sudden people sending a lot of money now, and they weren’t going to send anything.
“So I’m honored by that. But I’ll be there on Wednesday. And I look forward to that. Those are great people, and they were abandoned. But now, I think they won’t be abandoned any longer.”
Biden puts America last.
