Joe Biden is planning on talking to Chinese President Xi Jinping as he considers lifting tariffs on Chinese goods.
President Joe Biden said Saturday he plans to talk to Chinese leader Xi Jinping soon as he considers whether to lift some Trump-era tariffs on Chinese goods.
Biden did not say when they might speak, but suggested he was getting closer to making a decision about the fate of the economic penalties.
Biden was asked about it on one of his bike rides and he a Freudian slip.
Biden said, “WE are in the process of making up MY mind.”

Biden’s Commerce Secretary has been arguing it would look good for political theater so it should be done.
Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo, meanwhile, has focused her arguments on messaging — that its good politics to cut tariffs even if the actual impact on inflation is not that large.
